About me
I am a Research Associate at the AudioLab, University of York, and a software developer for my own company, nvsonic. I have been working with interactive spatial audio since 2016. In 2018, I joined the AudioLab to pursue a PhD under the supervision of Professor Gavin Kearney. My PhD research focused on the quality of bitrate compression and binaural rendering of Ambisonics. Since completing my studies in 2023, I have been supporting AudioLab's research projects and applying some of my PhD findings to developing software. My current work includes constructing a binaural rendering library for the IAMF format, which is being actively developed by the Alliance for Open Media.
